The problem: one station name can hide several stations
Seoul Station is a railway complex as well as a subway stop. Hongik Univ. combines metro, airport railway and commuter rail. Jongno 3-ga connects three subway lines. A nearby map pin can still require a gate, another level or a long transfer corridor.
The phrase to look for is 물품보관함 (luggage locker). T-Locker may also appear as 또타라커. If a listing says “inside gate,” keep your transit card ready and retrieve the bag before leaving the paid area for the last time.
The twist: the exit number is an indoor compass
Travelers often take “near Exit 1” literally, climb to the street and lose the landmark. Exit numbers guide you before the stairs. Stay on the listed basement floor, follow the number and scan the passage walls.
Seoul Station, Myeongdong and Hongdae
1. Seoul Station
The stable, staff-assisted landmark is T-Luggage on Line 1 B1 near Exit 1, open 09:00–22:00. Seoul’s tourist guide lists five subway locker locations at Seoul Station, but the complex includes Line 1, Line 4, AREX, Korail trains and GTX-A. Exact banks can change, so open the T-Locker map after selecting the correct line/operator and copy its floor and nearby exit before moving.
If the app fails or every bank is full, Visit Seoul lists a separate 24-hour LuggageQ facility 304 metres from Exit 15 at KRW 1,000 per hour. It is outside the station, so verify the route before exiting. Open Seoul Station in Google Maps.
2. Myeongdong Station
Official Visit Seoul directions divide the lockers into four banks: A around Exit 1, and B, C and D inside the gate near Exit 4. If you already exited, do not assume you can reach B–D without passing the fare gate again.

3. Hongik Univ. Station (Hongdae)
The official tourist guide counts four locker locations at Hongik Univ. Station. Because Line 2, AREX and Gyeongui-Jungang concourses meet here, use the app’s operator and bank label rather than “Hongdae locker” alone. The current Seoul government reference places staffed T-Luggage on Line 2 B1 near Exits 3 and 4, open 09:00–22:00. Follow its sign if app-controlled storage is full.

Jamsil and central Seoul stations
4. Jamsil Station
Jamsil has five documented banks: A/B on B1 near Exits 1 and 2; C/D on the B1 passage to Exits 3 and 4; and E on the B1 passage from Exits 10 and 11 toward Exits 1 and 2. Choose the group nearest your next destination—Lotte World is on one side and the lake/tower area spans another. Staffed T-Luggage is on B1 near Exits 3/4.
5. Jongno 3-ga Station
Bank A is beside the information center near the gate toward Exit 2-1; C is opposite that information center. Bank B is in the passage from the gate toward Exits 10–13, and D is in the passage toward Exits 4/5. Staffed T-Luggage is on Line 5 B1 near Exit 6. Check which line you arrived on before following the exit.
6. Gwanghwamun Station
Banks A and C are on B1 in the passage near Exit 2. Bank B is on B2 in front of the customer information desk near Exits 1 and 8. Floor first, exit second: following Exit 2 from B2 without checking the bank letter can send you past the correct level.
7. Gyeongbokgung Station

- Open the T-Locker app after arrival. Select the station, then confirm the line or operator.
- Write down three details: floor, exit direction and bank letter/number.

- Use signs, not underground GPS. Follow the exit number while remaining on B1/B2 as instructed.
- Match the physical bank. Compare its label and compartment number with the app before paying or opening.
- Save the return route. Photograph the nearest sign and map pin, and leave a 20-minute buffer before midnight.
